Grug 3D requires Unsandboxed mode to run. This is a standard requirement for extensions that render graphics, load 3D assets, or connect to the internet; none of which Scratch's default sandbox allows. Unsandboxed simply means the extension can do its job: draw the 3D world on screen, load your textures and models, save your settings between sessions, and enable multiplayer. It does not give the extension access to your files, passwords, or anything outside the browser tab. The extension contains no ads, no trackers, and no data collection.
Terms of Service
Effective: June 1, 2025
Last updated: June 1, 2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Grug 3D Engine, the premium clothing library, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"), developed and operated by Gabriel Alexander Velasquez ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our").
By installing, loading, accessing, or using the Service in any capacity — including using, playing, or distributing any project or game built with the Service — you agree to be legally bound by these Terms in their entirety.
Please Read CarefullyIf you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately and permanently stop using the Service. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment relationship, joint venture, or agency between you and the Developer.
The Service is an independent third-party extension for TurboWarp, a derivative of the Scratch programming environment. The Developer is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by TurboWarp, the Scratch Foundation, or the MIT Media Lab.
§ 01 Eligibility & Age Requirements
The Service has tiered eligibility based on age. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet the requirements of the tier applicable to your age and that you understand and accept the restrictions that apply.
Under 13 — Classroom & Homeschool Settings Only
Children under 13 years of age may use the Service exclusively within one of the following supervised settings:
- Accredited classroom use — under the direct, in-person supervision of a licensed or accredited educator within an organized educational institution; or
- Homeschool use — where the child's parent or legal guardian serves as the homeschool instructor and personally accepts these Terms on the child's behalf before any use begins.
Independent, unsupervised, or personal use of the Service by anyone under 13 is strictly prohibited. A supervising parent, guardian, or educator must accept these Terms on the child's behalf and assumes full legal responsibility for all activity by that child. No commercial use of any kind is permitted for users under 13.
Ages 13–17 — Personal & Educational Use Only
Individuals aged 13 through 17 ("Minors") may use the Service for personal, self-directed, and educational purposes, including independent learning, skill development, classroom instruction, and homeschool curricula. Unlike users under 13, Minors in this range are not restricted to supervised settings and may use the Service on their own.
Commercial Use Restriction — Ages 13–17Minors may not use the Service, or any project, game, or experience created with the Service, for any commercial purpose. This includes selling, licensing, distributing projects on paid platforms, collecting revenue through advertising, donations, or in-game purchases. Commercial use is reserved exclusively for users who are 18 years of age or older.
Ages 18+ — Full Access
Users who are 18 years of age or older and have accepted these Terms may use the Service for any lawful personal, educational, or commercial purpose, subject to all other provisions of these Terms.
§ 02 Description of Service
Grug 3D is a TurboWarp extension delivering a real-time 3D rendering engine that enables users to create and publish interactive 3D games and experiences. The Service comprises:
- Free Core Engine: The base 3D engine extension, provided at no cost.
- User-Uploaded Clothing Assets: A free feature permitting users to upload, apply, and use their own custom clothing, texture, and cosmetic assets.
- Premium Clothing Library: A curated collection of Developer-produced cosmetic assets available exclusively to active subscribers ($3.00 USD/month via Gumroad).

§ 03 Accounts & Access
The free core engine requires no account registration with the Developer. Premium library access is managed through your Gumroad account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your Gumroad credentials and for all activity under your subscription.
Premium access is contingent on an active paid subscription. Access terminates automatically at the end of any billing period for which payment is not received. You may not share, transfer, sell, sublicense, or grant access to your subscription to any third party.
§ 04 User-Created Content
The Service enables you to create games, interactive experiences, and other content ("User Content"). You retain full ownership of any original creative work you independently produce.
By uploading any asset or creating any content using the Service, you represent and warrant that you own or hold all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions for all content you upload, and that it does not infringe upon intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of any individual or entity.
Projects built with the Service may be packaged and distributed on any platform of your choosing (Steam, itch.io, etc.), subject to the commercial use restrictions in Section 01 where applicable. You are entirely and solely responsible for compliance with platform terms, applicable laws, and user support.
§ 05 Prohibited Uses
You agree that you will not use the Service, directly or indirectly, to:
- Create, facilitate, distribute, or promote any content or activity that is illegal under applicable law.

- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any proprietary component of the Service.
- Circumvent or disable any subscription access control or security mechanism.
- Sell, transfer, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service itself independently of a lawfully created user project.
§ 06 Subscriptions & Billing
The Premium Clothing Library is available as a monthly subscription at $3.00 USD per month, billed through Gumroad. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your Gumroad account dashboard.
No Refund PolicyALL SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENTS ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. This applies without exception, including cancellation mid-cycle or failure to use premium features. By subscribing, you expressly waive any right to a refund of any kind.
§ 07 Intellectual Property
The Grug 3D engine, its code, visual design, branding, interface, and the entire Developer-produced premium asset library are the exclusive intellectual property of Gabriel Alexander Velasquez.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service solely for creating and distributing projects within the scope permitted for your age tier. Premium library assets are licensed for use solely within projects created using the Service and may not be extracted or resold independently.
§ 08 Multiplayer & Data
The Service includes optional peer-to-peer multiplayer powered by PeerJS. The Developer does not operate any servers that transmit, receive, process, store, or log any player data through this feature. All multiplayer data flows directly between browsers.
Data such as your chosen player nickname, avatar texture, and settings are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted to the Developer.
§ 09 Disclaimers of Warranty
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer expressly disclaims all warranties.
You are solely and entirely responsible for the quality, functionality, security, and performance of any project you create and distribute using the Service. The Developer accepts no liability for broken projects, failed exports, data loss, or any consequence arising from your use of the Service.
§ 10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer, Gabriel Alexander Velasquez, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind.
The Developer's total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid to the Developer in the twelve (12) calendar months immediately preceding the claim, or (b) ten U.S. dollars ($10.00 USD).
§ 11 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Gabriel Alexander Velasquez from and against any and all third-party claims, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of your access to or use of the Service, your projects, or your violation of these Terms.
§ 12 Termination
The Developer may suspend or permanently terminate your access to any or all features of the Service at any time, with or without prior notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Termination for cause is without refund.
§ 13 Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America. You agree to resolve disputes with the Developer on an individual basis only and expressly waive any right to participate in any class action lawsuit or representative proceeding.

Privacy Policy
Effective: May 21, 2026

Plain English SummaryWe do not collect, store, or sell your personal information. We do not run advertising. We do not create user profiles. The only server-side data associated with license purchases is handled entirely by Gumroad. Peer-to-peer multiplayer connections are made directly between players — no game data passes through our servers.
§ 1 Overview
3D World Builder ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect, what we do not collect, how we handle the limited technical data that passes through our systems, and how third-party platforms you may access through us handle your data separately.
§ 2 What We Collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, location data, device identifiers, or any other personal information through our own systems. We do not operate user accounts, login systems, or databases of personal information. No information you enter into the 3D World Builder extension, teacher dashboard, or any tool we provide is transmitted to our servers.
The only categories of data described in this policy are:
- Automatically generated web server access logs (§ 3)
- License key verification via Gumroad (§ 5)
- Peer-to-peer multiplayer session data sent directly between players (§ 6)
- Data you voluntarily submit to third-party platforms (§ 8)
§ 3 Automatic Server Logs
When you visit our website, our hosting provider's servers automatically generate standard access logs. These logs may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page you visited, the date and time of your visit, and the referring URL. This is standard behavior for all web servers.
These logs exist solely for security monitoring, diagnosing server errors, and maintaining service reliability. We do not use them to identify individuals, build behavioral profiles, target advertising, or for any marketing purpose. Logs are retained only as long as necessary for security purposes and are then deleted. We do not sell, share, or license access log data to any third party for any purpose.
§ 5 License Key Verification
If you purchase a Pro teacher dashboard license through Gumroad and enter your license key into the dashboard, that key is transmitted to Gumroad's license verification API for the sole purpose of confirming its validity.
We do not store your license key on our servers beyond what is necessary to cache the verification result. We store only a hashed representation of the key, whether it is valid, and when the last verification occurred. No personally identifiable information is transmitted to or stored by us during this process.
All purchase records, payment information, email addresses, and account details associated with your license purchase are held by Gumroad, Inc., subject to their Privacy Policy at gumroad.com/privacy.
§ 6 Peer-to-Peer Multiplayer
3D World Builder includes an optional peer-to-peer multiplayer feature powered by PeerJS. This feature lets players join shared sessions by exchanging a lobby code and playing together in real time.
Age Requirement: While the 3D World Builder engine itself is designed for all ages including children, access to the multiplayer feature requires users to be 13 years of age or older. Age is verified indirectly — multiplayer access requires a Discord account, and Discord independently enforces a minimum age of 13 under their Terms of Service and in compliance with COPPA.
What Data Is Transmitted
During a multiplayer session, the following information is sent directly from your device to other players in the same session:
- Position data — your player's X, Y, Z coordinates and facing direction, updated approximately 10 times per second
- Movement state — whether you are moving, in the air, or on the ground
- Avatar texture — your current player skin as a Base64-encoded image, sent when you join or change your appearance
- Nickname — the display name you set in the Settings panel, if any
No Server Storage: None of the above data is routed through or stored by our servers. PeerJS acts as a signalling broker only — once two players establish a direct connection, all subsequent data flows peer-to-peer and PeerJS is no longer involved. We have no visibility into, and do not log, any gameplay data.
§ 7 Cookies and Analytics
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics tools on our own website. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar third-party tracking service. We do not fingerprint your device or track you across other websites.
The teacher dashboard and the 3D World Builder extension use your browser's localStorage — which is distinct from cookies — to save your data locally on your device. This storage does not track you and cannot be read by any third party, including us.
§ 8 Third-Party Platforms
3D World Builder maintains a presence on several external platforms for community, distribution, and communication purposes. When you visit, follow, join, purchase from, or otherwise interact with our presence on any of these platforms, you are engaging directly with that platform and voluntarily providing your information to them.
- Gumroad: Handles payment and account information for purchases. Privacy policy available at gumroad.com/privacy.
- itch.io: Data collected per itch.io's engine/platform policies. Privacy policy available at itch.io privacy policy.
- TurboWarp: Governs data used when running the extension via their platform. Privacy policy available at turbowarp.org/privacy.
- PeerJS: Facilitates multiplayer handshake connections. Privacy documentation available at peerjs.com.
§ 9 Children's Privacy
3D World Builder is used in K–12 educational settings, and we take children's privacy seriously. The core engine — block placement, world-building, scripting — is designed for all ages and does not require children to create accounts, submit personal information, or interact with our servers in any way.
Multiplayer Age Restriction: The optional peer-to-peer multiplayer feature is restricted to users aged 13 and older, enforced via Discord account requirement. Children under 13 must not use the multiplayer feature.
We do not knowingly collect, store, or process personal information from children under the age of 13 through our own systems. If you believe a child's personal information has been submitted to us in error, please contact us immediately at privacy@3dworldbuilder.com.
§ 10 Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store personal information through our own systems, there is no personal data held by us for you to request, correct, or delete.
For data stored in the teacher dashboard's browser localStorage, you are in full control. You can view, export, or delete all dashboard data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for the dashboard's domain. Nicknames and avatar textures used in multiplayer sessions are stored only in your browser's localStorage and are transmitted peer-to-peer to other players in your session.
§ 11 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our services evolve. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
